Visit Wales

Shoot Wales Jury with the Festival Company's James Nee

The Festivals Company was invited by Visit Wales to coordinate an exciting new competition called Shoot Wales.

Visit Wales was looking for the next series of short films to attract UK holiday-makers to Wales in 2009. The entries were judged by an experienced panel from the film, music and tourism sectors and included Justin Kerrigan (Director, Human Traffic, I Know you Know), Rhys from the Goldie Lookin Chain, and Hannah James from Visit Wales (pictured with James Nee from The Festivals Company). During a judging day at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff the panel chose Ice Cream by Rhiannon Tate from the International Film School Wales as the winner.

Rhiannon Tate was awarded a £2000 career development fund and one week’s work experience at top advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy plus £500 travel and subsistence bursary. Watch Rhiannon's winning film below.
